You pay people to do a job and it can be very difficult to deal with situations when they just aren’t there. Employee absence can be very frustrating both for you as an employer and for the colleagues of the person who is absent, and it can also be a very emotive subject that requires sensitive handling.
As said, absence can be caused by a range of different reasons and we can help you deal with problem absence no matter what the cause. Getting guidance on absence is usually advisable as there are a number of employment laws that touch on this area. There’s absence linked to disability, absence linked to pregnancy and absence when someone is on holiday that all have special rules associated with them.
The first thing we’ll do is talk through the situation with you and understand the problem that you’re trying to address. We’ll look to see whether there are specific employment laws you need to be considering as well as taking a look at any internal policies you have that may put some constraints around what you are and are not able to do.
Then we’ll help you to come up with a plan to move you forward. We can be there every step of the way and help you to prepare for difficult conversations (even have them for you if you’d prefer) and make sure you have the documentation in place that you need.
We can also take a look at your absence policy to make sure that it’s putting you in the position possible to manage problem absence in the future.
Our service fees range from:
- £110 per hour for offsite support (phone and email)
- £140 per hour for onsite support (face to face at your offices and other locations)
We’ll speak with you to understand the situation you are looking to manage and the level of support you require. We’ll then give you an estimate of the number of hours we expect the matter to take.
Of course, it’s always difficult to be completely accurate as you never know what’s going to happen when people are involved. We will agree any work before it is performed and keep you updated on the costs as they accrue.
Notes: All prices exclude VAT. For new customers, we will ask for an initial payment before we start working with you; minimum payment 1 hour offsite support.
