Do I need to have a retained long-term agreement to receive your services?
We provide our services through our “Pay As You Go” service, a Retained Agreement, or a Fixed Price Project.
If you want a support agreement in place but expect only a light use, then you’ll want our Pay As You Go support. For PAYG, you simply pay for the work performed; there’s no on-going cost or commitment from you . We support you with whatever help you need and then we go away until you need us again.
For a support agreement with ongoing, regular use, the Retained Agreement will be what you want. For the Retained Agreement, we agree the services you need and the number of hours per month required – this can be any combination you want. Our retained agreements only have 1 month’s notice as we believe you’ll stay with us because you want to, not because you have to!
If you have a specific project with a fixed scope, we can provide our services as a Fixed Price Project.
How much do your services cost?
The cost of services depends on whether you need consultancy or administration services, whether you want these provided face-to-face (at your place or ours) or remotely (by phone and email) and whether you want them on an ad-hoc (Pay As You Go) or on a retained basis.
Some of our services are fixed price, for example, provision of employment contracts, policies and handbooks.
Similarly, our training and coaching services are fixed price for individual courses, with tailoring and bespoke development at our consultancy rates.

It’s really simple.

You then decide how you want to proceed and we’ll get things moving.
I only want support on a specific matter. Do I need to have a long-term agreement?
We can provide our services on a “Pay As You Go” basis or through a retained agreement.
You are never locked into a lengthy contract; even our retained agreements have a cancellation period of only 30 days.
Our consultants will provide the support options and you decide which is best for you.
How do I know how much your services will end up costing me?
We’ll talk through the situation that you want to address, the level of support you want and then give an estimate on the number of hours required and the associated potential cost.
As you’ll be aware, people are unpredictable and it’s not possible to determine exactly how a situation will unfold, therefore, it is important to advise that the effort and cost estimates for employee issues are just estimates (rather than quotes or fixed price). If it does look like we’ll need more hours than we estimated, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and you can decide how you want us to continue. There will be no surprise invoices.
Importantly: you only ever pay for the services you use, regardless of the initial estimate.
