Our Onsite HR Support plan gives regular onsite HR support, strengthened by offsite help when needed, from consultants who know you and your business.

Our Onsite HR Support plan is designed for companies where having a permanent HR professional doesn’t make economic sense but it’s clear that there’s a need for some form of regular HR presence in your business.

Onsite HR Support - Lighter HR

The Onsite HR Support plan gives you onsite and offsite (telephone and email) support for all your HR issues, and ensures that your HR policies and employment contracts remain up-to-date and reflect changes in employment law.


Onsite HR Support Plan

Your business is in the position where some of the HR issues that arise need more expertise to address than you currently have in-house or there’s just more people and more problems and dealing with them is taking up too much of your time. Hiring a qualified HR professional doesn’t make economic sense but you need to have the capability and capacity in place to deal with issues as and when they arise. You need someone onsite regularly working with your managers and/or employees so that people have someone to go to get expert guidance.

If you are looking for just offsite support, our Offsite HR Support service is designed with your needs in mind.

How We Can Help

Our Onsite HR Support plan is designed for businesses which want access to a named HR professional on a regular basis. The regularity of visits will be determined by the needs of the business and we work in a way which allows review on a quarterly basis so that you can make sure you’re getting the right level of support.

Regular onsite HR ‘surgeries’ provide face to face support to the directors, manager and/or staff; the length and frequency of these surgeries are dependent on your needs and, because you don’t sign up to a long contract, can be adjusted on a quarterly basis as the needs of your business change.

Unlimited offsite support provides help for time-critical matters between onsite sessions. As an example, if you need a response to a question urgently then this would be dealt with remotely via email or phone call – you wouldn’t have to wait until the next planned visit.

Getting You Up and Running

The first step will be for the HR Consultant to meet the key people in your organisation and gain an understanding of your business.

We will then agree the length and frequency of the surgeries. Depending on need, this ranges from a few hours each fortnight to a couple of days a week.

The HR Consultant will do a complimentary review of your current HR documentation to ensure it is fit for purpose and you are legally compliant. We’ll let you know if there are any legal issues with what you’re using and what we’d recommend.

The documentation will be reviewed periodically to ensure it keeps up with changes to legislation and any changes in your business.

HR Admin Bolt-on

If you want us to do your HR admin for you as well, we can do that and we’d strongly encourage you to consider this option. HR Admin can take up a lot of your time and it’s time that you can spend on more important tasks.

The HR Admin Bolt-on can be used for all manner of HR administrative activities such as maintaining HR records, issuing offers of employment, dealing with reference requests, liaising with your payroll providing and any other administrative task associated with employing people.

Service Costs

The cost of Onsite HR Support is dependent on the length and frequency of the onsite HR surgeries.

  • 1 four-hour visit per month: £750
  • 2 four-hour visits per month: £1,200
  • 3 four-hour visits per month: £1,600
  • 4 four-hour visits per month: £1,900
  • More than 4 four-hour visits per month: £Let’s discuss

The updating of your current documentation will vary from business to business. We’ll give you a quote once we see what already exists and have completed the complementary review.

We will agree any work before it is performed and keep you updated on the costs as they accrue.

Notes: All prices exclude VAT. For new clients, we may request a percentage of the fees upfront.

No Contractual Tie-In

Onsite HR Support is charged a month in advance with no contractual tie-in; we want you to work with us because you feel you get a great service and you want to work with us, not because you signed a long contract and are stuck with us!
