Updating Employment Contract

Your business changes and evolves all of the time, as does employment law. Therefore, you can find yourself in a situation where you need to make changes to employment contracts.

We can review and update your current employment contract to make sure that it offers your business the protection it needs and is aligned to current employment law.

Note: the review is free and non-obligatory.

Updating your Existing Employment Contract

It’s likely that you created an Employment Contract a few years ago. It was potentially “borrowed” from a previous employer or you got a template from the internet.

Whilst these approaches are valid, particularly in the early days of setting up a business, it’s unusual that a template contract will offer your business the right level of protection. As your business grows, the risks are higher, so it’s worth taking the time and money to make sure that your contract is as strong as it can be.

Key Service Features

  • Complimentary review of your existing contract by an experienced HR professional.
  • Report detailing areas that should be updated.
  • Provision of a contract that protects your business, is legally compliant and meets your legal obligations as an employer.
  • Support on rolling out the revised contract.
  • The work can be performed either onsite (face to face), offsite (phone and email) or a bit of both.

How We Can Help

If you already have an employment contract in place, you won’t want to update it unnecessarily so the first thing we’ll do is complete a complimentary review of your current contract.

During this review, we’ll work with you to find out more about your business, and offer insight into areas you should be looking to cover. We’ll then let you know if there are areas which we think you would be wise to address, both mandatory and optional, as well as any specific requirements to implement the changes.

From this, we’ll update the documents, review them with you and then support the roll-out to your staff.

Employment Contract Roll-out

One key element is the roll-out of the employment contract to your staff. How complex a process this is will depend entirely on the scale of the changes that you’re making to the terms and conditions. During our discussions, we will advise you on best implementation approach and work with you to determine how much of our support you are likely to need.

This may sound a little vague but changing terms and conditions can be quite complex and trying to get into the detail on a website could lead this to being the longest page ever created! But be confident that we’ve done lots of contract roll-outs and we’ll guide you through the process.

Service Costs

Employment Contract

The contract review is free and non-obligatory.

After the contract review, we’ll then give you an estimate of the number of hours we expect the update to take.

Employment Contract Roll-Out

As part of the provision of the contract, we’ll also give you an estimate of the number of hours we expect the implementation to take.

Our service fees range from:

  • £105 per hour for offsite support (phone and email)
  • £135 per hour for onsite support (face to face at your offices and other locations)

Of course, it’s always difficult to be completely accurate as you never know what’s going to happen when people are involved.

We will agree any work before it is performed and keep you updated on the costs as they accrue.

Notes: All prices exclude VAT. For new clients, we may request a percentage of the fees upfront.
