HR Retained Support
Your business is in the position where some of the HR issues that arise need more expertise to address than you currently have in-house. Hiring a qualified HR professional doesn’t yet make economic sense but you need to have the capability in place to deal with issues as and when they arise.
For organisations where having a permanent HR professional doesn’t make economic sense, HR Retained Support gives you telephone and email support for all of your HR questions.
The service also ensures that policies and contracts provided or reviewed by us remain up-to-date and reflect any changes in employment legislation.
HR Retained Support gives you access to HR support when you need it. You’ll be provided with a named HR Consultant who will deal with your HR issues as and when they arise.
The first step is that the HR Consultant will conduct an on-site visit to meet the key people within your organisation and gain an understanding of your business. They will then review your current HR documentation to ensure it is fit for its purpose and you are legally compliant.
The documentation will then be held on an online document management system which you and your team will be able to access anytime and anywhere. The documentation will be reviewed on a half-yearly basis as a minimum to ensure that the documentation keeps up with changes to employment legislation and any changes in your business!
Once in place, you can contact your HR Consultant to deal with your HR issues as and when they arise. We use a web-based solution to enable named contacts within your business to raise queries, which we will respond to either via our web system or over the phone, depending on your preference.
The HR Consultant will provide you with advice and guidance, as well as any materials required to address the support request.

- Provision of a document management system giving you confidence that all documentation is available and up-to-date.
The monthly cost for HR Retained Support is £125 + VAT per month. This provides you with one hour of support each month as well as the additional benefits listed above such as the regular review and update of your documentation and access to the online system.
You then receive a 10% discount on the next 8 hours of work meaning that you are charged a rate of £86.50 + for off-site work and £108 + VAT per hour for on-site work.
The initial cost for the review of your current documentation will vary from business to business. We’ll give you a quote once we see what already exists and what revision and addition is needed.
Our retained service is charged a month in advance with no contractual tie-in; we want you to work with us because you feel you get a great service and you want to work with us, not because you signed a long contract and are stuck with us!
